Today I landed on TechRepublic (http://techrepublic.com) through my RSS reader. I am an avid internet user, and a daily consumer of IT news through my news reader (I use Google Reader by the way and very much like it) and blogs. I just couldn’t find my way on the site and was completely surprised by the errors.

First of all, I didn’t understand the domain name written in the address bar on the home page. It is seen as “http://techrepublic.com.com“. WTH? and when you go to “http://com.com” you are redirected to “http://www.cnet.com“. Totally confusing.
Whatever, then I decided to search for the podcasts they provide, so I click on the Blogs link on the main page because there are no podcast links on the main page. Down the main blogs page, there is a link stating “Subscribe to the latest TechRepublic podcasts” and clicking on it gives a 404 error.
With over 1 million members and thousands of posts in a month I left the site just before completing this post…
